Why Donate?

For lack of better words…CANCER SUCKS!!!

My goal is simple – to help create a world without cancer. I do believe, with proper research and funding, one day there will can be a world without cancer.

I’m riding for Martha, my friend who has spent the last year fighting ovarian cancer. Recently, she decided to stop treatment so that she can spend the rest of her life without the awful side effects of chemo. I personally can not think of a harder, or braver decision to make.

For the 2009 San Jose LIVESTRONG Challenge, I raised over $5,000 and was one of the Top 3 Messengers – which means I had the most amount of donors. This year, I’ve decided that instead of setting a dollar amount to my goal – I want to try to reach more people. I’ve set a personal goal to get 300 donations.
